I’ve been skiing for over 50 years. I am also a ski instructor. The past few years I’ve suffered from cold hands, no matter what brand of glove. I decided this year I’d treat myself to some heated gloves. To be honest, I really didn’t want to spend $400 for a pair, so I compromised and thought these might do the trick.This week, with especially cold temps, I tried the gloves on two different days, one of which was a lesson at night. In both instances, one battery crapped out after only an hour, though I had the gloves on “yellow” (medium) setting. Additionally, they were really not that warm — and this was using thin merino wool glove liners as well.One other thing that practically all other gauntlet gloves have that is missing from these: a tether strap for your wrist. So, I wouldn’t advise taking one off on a lift in case it slips and falls to the ground.Bases on my experience, I would not recommend these gloves.
