Past few months I've tried 3 different Tig gloves. I weld quite a bit in my shop and put the gloves thru their paces. Quick little ranking below.1. Mechanic Tig PulsePros- Great dexterity right out of the package, didint really need any break in time. Really comfortable. Very, very good heat resistance, haven't had to use my Tig finger with them at all. Minimal to no shrinking. Price is right.Cons - None so far, I'll update their longevity.2. Weldporn OG glovesPros - Price ($20), medium to high heat resistance (slightly less than the Mechanix), excellent longevity, stiching is what began to fail after a few months but it's expected as these are consumables. Good dexterity. Minimal shrinkage.Cons- Needed a slight break in period, nothing too bad. Could have better stiching but for $20, they are an excellent deal, look great and last a good while.3. Tillman 44 Top grain kidskinPros- most dexterity of them all because they are thin, which also becomes a con because they are thin and have horrible heat resistance. maybe it's because I weld aluminum which has high reflectivity but my hands are on fire with these gloves. Very comfortable because they are thin. I believe they have their uses, just not for me with aluminum.Cons- They shrink with heat, low heat resistance, priced as much as the Mechanix but less useful. I wanted to really like these but they just aren't for me.Overall the Mechanix Pulse is what I will keep buying from now on. Definitely a winner.
