These gloves did in fact keep my hands dry. I recently completed an 11 day motorcycle trip where it rained on 9 of the days. The problem is that if your hands are even SLIGHTLY damp, the gloves are practically impossible to put on. The liner gets caught on your fingers and is very hard to get into the holes for the fingers of the gloves. One day I just let my regular gloves get wet because I didn't want to deal with the Olympia rain gloves. They also provide no feel for the controls. Its like wearing giant mittens.The outer shell is not waterproof and gets soaked. My hands were dry but it took a couple of days for the shell to dry. There are better options for waterproof gloves.
