These gloves are my second set of Stallion gloves. Like I said in my other review of the similar lace up gloves, the leather is smooth, the padding is great, and I was glad to find leather at this price range. The assembly on both is standing up to sparring and a bit of bag work. The strap is wide and textured enough that you can bite to put them on by yourself in a pinch. Inside lining is cool and dries quickly.I ordered the lighter, 10 oz gloves, and the result was the velcro wrist straps fit perfectly, much better wrist support than the lace ups. 150lb, 5'10", 7.5" wrists.Stay sharp! - C. GREAT BUY!Boxing gloves fit my fiance's hands perfectly! When we opened it they were in great condition and seemed to be made pretty well. He's already super excited to start using them!I got the 18 oz gloves and upon getting them what I noticed immediately was the quality leather upon touching them. It's smooth and seems to be of a top-grain leather. Top-grain leather generally has stable fibers grain has not been removed. This lets the leather breathe and does not wear out easily.I'm very impressed with the stitching and construction of the glove as well. There is double stitching on the palm-side with little spacing between individual stitching gives it a solid binding. The palm itself is made up two pieces strongly held together. The grip bar at the curl of the hand is decently sized so that making it easy for the hands to curl and ball up into a fist. Speaking of which the foam and padding is flexible enough to allow the hand to curl easily without having to grip hard. But it could be better in handling impact when you go ahead and punch the heavy bag.So in that respect, please be sure your hands are properly wrapped (180 works best).The thing that impressed me the most is the inside of the glove. Rather than just a thin nylon fabric between the padding and the hand, it's a thicker wicking that handles moisture really well. The problem with nylon fabric found in most gloves such as Everlast is that they can tear easily, leading to holes in the glove. These holes allow sweat from your hands to pass through and ruin the foam of the glove. This is what causes foam flaking after using gloves too muchThis is why it's important to always take your gloves out of your bag when you're done at the gym and wipe them down if you can.But with the moisture wicking, the inside of the glove dries up quicker after a hard workout.The glove is also just flexible enough for clinch-sparring if you do Muay Thai.The only thing I critique is the absence of a fiber mesh like some Muay Thai gloves have (such as TopKing). The ventilation holes on the thumb and palm and thumb are a dated design in my humble opinion. But overall, a solid glove nevertheless. Really happy with the product. This is a gem of a glove.I needed a new pair of gloves and I am glad I chose these! Perfect size, no issues choosing my size, VERY comfortable! I must say I am really impressed with the quality, great stitching, padding and ventilation holes! Beautiful craftsmanship - I've used many boxing gloves before for casual workouts at my local gym, and I can honestly say that these gloves are better quality than any others I have used! I've been using these for about 8 months now, and they feel better than ever - very durable and the ventilation holes make them very breathable. When I first got them they were a bit tight with the hand wraps but as is the case with most high quality sports equipment they just needed to be worked in! Highly recommend these gloves!All these reviews must be stallion employees/sponsors. Probably the most cheaply made pair of gloves I've ever owned. Arrived covered in dirt and dust with dried out spots on leather, barely any support for knuckles and wrist as they are incredibly mushy. Stay away if you like your hands
