I've had these for about 2 years. These protect from small amounts of rain. Anything heavy and they will soak up and leave your hands freezing, especially at freeway speeds. They also retain that water for a long period of time, and are unreasonably difficult to dry out, so they are guaranteed to become disgustingly moldy, and your hands will smell noticeably awful. Attempting to throughly wash them tends to pull the inner liner out, and this is apparently impossible to push back in. Alpinestars did not design these for maintainability, so these are now dead gloves. They were okay while they lasted, but not worth the price.The good things are the seemingly strong knuckle protection, and the windscreen wipe on the left thumb, though it would have been nice for that to be on both thumbs.
