So much to love about these gloves! I originally chose them because of the way the wrist is finished.1. The wrist end of the knitted fabric is bound off, rather than folded over and stitched. The folded-over finish is almost always too tight at the wrist, and it cuts off the circulation. These do not bind my wrists. This was the primary reason why I bought this model - the cuff is not doubled at the finish.2. Finger-length: Wow. So many (if not most) of the fingers on these kinds of gloves are too short. They need to cover the first knuckle so help keep my arthritic knuckles warm. These do this admirably. I never expect this, so I am delighted. See illustration - even the fingers are bent, the knuckle stays covered.3. Size matters. Although female, my hands are larger than many men's. I did not know which size would be best for me. So I bought one of each, The red ones are M/S, the blue are L/XL. There is not much difference, but the L/XL size is just enough bigger that my circulation is not hampered. The M/S size are just a bit too snug for me. If in doubt, go large.4. The gloves are knitted so that the thumb can go either way, i.e. they are agnostic left-right. This is really good if, like me, you tend to lose single gloves with monotonous regularity. So I have several pairs, to supply replacements.5. Wool. I always look for wool over synthetics or cotton because it is SO MUCH warmer, but it's hard to find wool fingerless gloves that are not too bulky for computer use. This yarn is very fine, tightly knit and not fuzzy, which makes them perfect for long hours on a keyboard.I'd give these 8 out of 5 stars if I could. I love, love, love them. Can you tell I have tried many kinds of gloves for my computer work? These might have been made to my design specifications. There is nothing about them that I don't like. Finally, here's a tip if you plan to use these as glove liners. Fabric knitted with the stockinette stitch, like these gloves, has a natural curl as well as a "right side." Putting these on right-side out, you will see the ends of the fingers trying to curl down. If you put a full-fingered glove over one of these, the fabric will curl down your finger toward the hand as you slide them on. This turns the end of the finger fabric into a tight little tubular rubber band. This can be mostly solved by turning the glove inside out. Since it is going to be covered, appearance is irrelevant. If I had knit these myself, I would have reversed the last 3 rows on the fingers so that the right side was on the inside just for that tiny bit. This would have put the curl to the inside of the finger. I have never seen this done, but I'm pretty sure it would work.I hope you find this useful.
