Description

Youngstown's Ground Glove is a double-layered goat grain leather work glove sewn into an ergonomic, 3D form fit pattern. The second layer of goatskin is sewn onto the fingertips, palm, saddle and knuckle to further enhance the durability and protection. The modern, ergonomic glove pattern creates an incredible fit and feel unlike other leather work gloves found in the market. Most leather work gloves are made of old 2D patterns on low grade leather. Not this glove. We use extremely high quality and thick goat grain leather that is specially tanned to enhance grip, flexibility and comfort while maintaining an impressive ruggedness. It has a weight of 18oz/yd2, exceeding OSHA standards for non-voltage electrical work. Independent lab tests have shown the glove to be arc rated to 23 cal/cm2. This glove is not designed to protect workers from shock or voltage. Nor is it designed to be worn over rubber gloves. You don't have to be a professional lineman or electrician to appreciate this glove. The combination of leather quality and modern pattern creates a work glove that just about anyone will appreciate. Durable. Comfortable. Dexterous. Safe. Youngstown Glove's mission is to build the very best in technical hand protection. Founded in 2002, Youngstown has become known for producing especially durable work gloves and being an innovator with numerous first-to-market technologies. The full offering of Youngstown includes Waterproof Winter, Arc Rated, Flame Resistant, Cut Resistant, Anti-Vibration, High Visibility and Impact Resistant.

With large hands, it is difficult to find leather work gloves that fit and also have a double layer of leather on the palm, finger tips, and some fingers. These gloves have finger slots long enough to allow my digits to fit inside without putting extra stress on the seam stitching, causing a rip or tear. I can not tell just yet how durable they will be as just receiving them, but the size is good and shipping was quick.Expensive goat skin is the only way to go climbing poles in the 105 degree heat. Reinforced and durable. If I could only quit losing them a pair will last years.I like these gloves a lot. Very nicely made. I bought large based on the fit chart. My measurements were at the middle of the large range. But as soon as I put them on I knew they were too tight over the knuckles when closing my hand. So, I returned them and got XL. They fit well.I used them while replacing the boards on a deck that's about 11 X 15 ft. That meant both pulling off the old boards and putting on the new, a lot of pry bar, sawzall, hammering, sawing, drilling, etc. Also, of course picking up, loading, unloading, and cutting the wood. This included working with wet treated lumber at times, e.g. when I loaded and unloaded the wood it was raining. The gloves were comfortable throughout and show very little wear. When spring rolls around I'll head out to some 100 acres of woods and and farmland I own with my brother and see how they do on our annual week of trimming hedgerows, clearing up fallen trees, and barn maintenance. That should be a good test.In a nutshell, I know that they aren't $100 work gloves that a professional might wear to work a regular job. But so far for a guy like me dealing with something between basic yard work and a regular job that requires work gloves they do the job. Finally, I have to note that if these didn't have the big Youngstown and cal rating printed on them, I'd buy another pair to use as dress gloves. They feel and look that good.Follow up - been using for nearly 2 years now. Still holding together. Have used for yard work and also in clearing hedge rows including moving large stones. It's not my job doing this, but I likely have 150 to 200 hours of use on them. They've been wet multiple times and are still pliable.Good quality gloves for ground work. Better to get the kevlar ones. However these do the trick. However be weary if you find yourself in wet weather. These will shrink to your hands. And are like getting a wetsuit off. Do with that info what you will. These gloves turn into gum when they get wet and they lose their ability to grip. Also, when they dry they get stuck in whatever position they were left and they become very stiffGloves fit very well made great fantastic glove I climb and cut trees all day and chip brush they have lasted me almost a month now now holes tears or threads coming loose dexterity is above and beyond with these gloves I highly recommend these to anybodyI'll never buy a different brand againGreat gloves, well made, I use them on farm, loading hay, feeding goats, mowing, picking up deadfall, fixing fence, they handle it all. Seams and doubled layers are where its needed. Size is perfect. Not what I expected. Yet to use them. More of a summer glove. No warmth to them.I have a pair of winter Youngstown gloves, figured these where the same but with short cuffs.Cant go wrong with Youngstown globes.buy the L(pack of 12) order you get one pair of gloves. Rip off paying 65dollars plus shipping! I doubt I’ll ever buy another product again after this. These gloves fit great nice and soft hope they last awhile. I just got them only had them a week so far so hoodLlegaron a tiempo solo que llegaron de talla mediana(talla 8) para que cambien la descripción del producto...a pesar de ello me quedaron muy bien.Good gloves. They last 2 months instead of 1
